母亲节的礼物。。。

上一个星期都在忙着自己的编曲。好不容易把两首歌编好了。
昨晚就在Serene Music Studio录了一整夜。所以今天的精神是blur blur 的。
昨晚状态不是很好，不但唱不出我满意的效果， 还用了比平常多了的录音时间。
而且还只是录了两首歌的主音而已。合音还有待继续。但录音室已经fully book了。
所以得找一天接下去录制。
今天， 听一听昨晚的“杰作”。发现真的是很不满意。没有我想要的feel。好想好想重录哦！
看来要真的需要好好想一想要如何。。。
希望可以快一点放上网与大家分享。

生日礼物。。。birthday dedication......

上个月与这个月有非常多朋友的生日。

刚过的有Ravinder, Sanjeev, 凯莉，伊诗。（朋友们：请告诉我如果我遗漏你的生日）。

接下来的就是钦爱的妈妈与妹妹慧婷的生日（4 月13），还有钦爱的父亲 （4月22）的生日。

所以我特别献上了这一首歌给三月与四月生日的你们，希望你们会喜欢。

接下来的音乐惊喜。。。

付出是胜于接受。。。听过这句话吗？

不知道为什么，我总是觉得做音乐给我在乎的人，比做音乐给自己来得有意义！
接下来我想要做音乐给的对象就是。。。即将要来临的佳节主角。。。

“母亲”！

不只是给我的母亲，也是给你的母亲，他的母亲，和大家的母亲！

“母亲节” 是我们五兄弟姐妹们最重视的一个节日。我和姐弟妹们经常都会想一些特别的点子来给妈妈一个惊喜。比如， 弄一个晚餐让妈妈享受,或作一个特大的母亲节卡等等。由于我们姐妹都很喜欢手工艺品，因此做给妈妈的卡片都特别的精致哦！

如今，我们各个都离乡背井去了。 回家的路途又很长，就这样回家的时间是少之又少了。

我相信， 很多朋友都象我一样。。。经常没有“阿妈靓汤”喝的日子是多么的不幸福啊。。。

好想念妈妈的汤，糖水，和关怀啊。。。。相信游子们都和我一样想念着远方的妈妈吧。

所以，我就好想好想写一首歌给天下的母亲，特别是我的妈咪。。。

就这样我邀请了嫣妤，帮我写一首华语歌词；Ravinder 帮我写一首英文歌词。

这样才是真正写给天下的母亲！

现在歌词和歌曲都己经出炉了。接下来的步奏就是编曲和录音制作了。应该在两个星期的时间可以完成。

请大家拭目以待吧。。。。。。

It is so satisfying to be able to help do music for someone, much much more than even doing it for my own self.

Mother's day is truly a special occasion that is very often neglected! For the person that has played a very big part in all our lives. Even before we were born, they were suffering with morning sickness, tiredness, backache etc etc. Surely the traditional card, and sometimes flowers or even dinner is no longer sufficient. We need something special for this dear person in all our lives, something that they can appreciate even many months after.
We are working on a Do It Yourself song not only for our own darling mothers, but anyone else who may feel like us that this year we want to do something different.

The D.I.Y. lyrics is completed, Yen Yee assisted with the Mandarin lyrics and Ravin the English lyrics.

After the lyrics, I completed the melody, and now working on the song arrangement and production.

Sister's Wedding Song！

This is the song that I wrote for my sister and brother in law.....

主角就是姐姐与姐夫！这也是他们自己拍摄的短片哦。

在此我要谢谢帮我写词的姐夫。德志与嫣妤给我歌词的建议。还有智超在编曲上的一些帮忙。

For My Dearest Sister.....献给钦爱的姐姐。。。

As soon as I knew that my sister Ashley was going to get married, I just wanted to write a song for her.

I got a friend, Ravin to help put my emotions into words. It was his first time writing song lyrics! I was totally surprised when reading his first attempt. It was unbelievable……..it captured my true feelings of my dear sister!

However, it took a lot of effort to write an appropriate and complementing melody to the lyrics. Eventually, the melody was ready some 3 weeks before my sister's big day.

Next I wanted to arrange and record it in a studio. At that time I was undecided on the composition. At that moment, I knew Chee Chau would be able to help me.

It was a delight to hear Chee Chau's arrangement after just 2 days. It perfectly matched the mood of the whole song.

Soon after, I recorded it and make an audio CD for my dearest sister.

This was a total surprise to my sister, and I decided to only let her know on her wedding day itself. To better let her appreciate the message of the song, I also included the power point presentation of the lyrics. For my mother, I included the Chinese translation in the power point as well!

Finally, I hand made a CD cover and wrap it as best I could as my gift to my sister.

The song was presented beautifully as planned during the wedding dinner, and the two sisters cried and cried…………..

It is indeed a very emotional song to many that have heard it, and we now called it the "crying song".

一定觉得很惊讶为什么是“钦爱” 而不是 “亲爱”吧？

同一样的读音，但意义有所不同。

“亲爱”是人们常用的词，就是挚爱的意思。

“钦爱”是指我爱。。。我-丘慧钦挚爱的姐姐。 沈略来说就是钦爱的。。。

当我知道姐姐将要结婚的那一霎那， 就想要为我们的姐妹情写一首歌。

由于自己的文法不怎么理想。就邀请Ravinder 帮我写一首英文歌词。

第一次看了他的歌词就感动得掉下眼泪。文字虽然简单，但却完完全全表达出我的感想。

这也是Ravinder第一次写歌词。

经过了好几次的改正，终于歌曲和歌词就完整地诞生了。

当时，我对这首歌的歌曲还没怎么满意。然而，最终歌曲也就过得了自己那一关才肯拿出来让好友-智超听一听。

好开心那一次的分享竟然得到了智超的喜爱。好友还随意地在自己的钢琴上编上简单的曲。当时的我，就下定要智超帮我完成我的编曲。 一来可以让自己的歌曲有一点不同的风格， 二来可以看看自己的歌曲可以变化出什么样的味道。

好友只用了一天的时间就帮我把歌曲编好。经过了简单的录音和混音后就打算自己包装CD封套送给姐姐。

这一切，都是保密的。姐姐都不知道。直到她结婚当天，我做了简单的power point slide show来呈现给她。

我们俩当时感动得掉下眼泪。

这就留下姐姐结婚的感动画面。。。。。。
